What is VillageHomeStays?
VillageHomeStays is an initiative to promote village tourism to preserve local culture and connecting people with Indian diversity and Indian roots.
How VillageHomeStays is different from other homestays sites?
VillageHomeStays is not an accommodation provider only. We provide you a wholesome experience of local culture, local food, and local traditions.
What is the booking procedure?
We would like our guests to contact us over email and phone to help book village homestays in their favourite locations.
Is there any membership for VillageHomeStays?
Yes, you can become a member by paying INR 5000. Membership will be available for 3 years. All members will get 2 nights 3 days’ accommodation free for two persons during a period of three years. This may also be gifted to any friend or family members.
What are the requirements of the VillageHomeStays at the time of check-ins?
You need to show the booking confirmation email at the reception counter. All the guests are required to submit copies of photo-identification such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Voter Card, and Driving Licence. Foreign nationals are also required to share copy of their valid visa and fill a form to intimate local police authorities.
Is it necessary to register at VillageHomeStays before booking?
It will be helpful if you register yourself before booking. However, there will be option for booking as guest user as well.
Where can I register a complaint in case of any issue?

What are check-in and check-out timings?
Check-in time is 12:00 noon and checkout is 10: 00 am. If the room is not pre-occupied, early check-in is also possible without any extra charge.
Is there any minimum stay that is required for booking?
No, there is no such requirement for minimum stay. But it is advisable to book for at least 2 nights so that you have a fulfilling experience.
If the money has been deducted but I have not received any confirmation on booking, what shall I do?

How can I locate the home stay?
VillageHomeStays provides Google location for all the village homestays. Also after booking, you will receive all the contact details, including phone number of the contact person whom you can contact in case of any difficulty in locating your village homestay.
How our safety will be ensured?
All the village homestays are highly safe for guests. However, our local village homestays/partner will do everything possible to ensure your safety. In addition, for each location, details of nearby health facilities, market and police stations will be provided at the time of booking.
What kind of accommodation will be provided?
Considering that these are village homestays, clean modest rooms will be available with all the basic facilities. Each location is detailed separately with photographs for you to understand the kind of accommodation available.
What are the terms and conditions for cancellation?
You can cancel the booking without any cancellation charges up to 2 days before the check-in date. After that, deduction of 50% will be made and remaining funds will be reimbursed within a period of 30 days.
What if I choose to modify the stay?
You can change the dates of stay up to 2 days before the check-in date based on the availability for new dates.
