Madhya Pradesh is quite literally the heart of India.
It is located right in the centre of the country, Madhya Pradesh is a land of raw natural beauty, historical cities, a melting pot of different cultures, and offers beautiful architecture. Its natural attractions includes the marvellous ravines of Handi Khoh, in Panchmarhi hills; the lush green forests, wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, that are known for wildlife, especially tigers and several species of birds; and wonderful waterfalls. Some of the most well known and well-conserved national parks include Pench, Panna, Kanha, and Bandhavgarh national parks. Must visit waterfalls include the Patalapani waterfalls, Raja Pratap Falls, And Dhoopgarh. Bhimbetka caves and rock shelters are the only prehistoric Paleolithic and Mesolithic sites to be found in India. other sites of historical attraction include the Khajuraho Temples, known for its marvellous architecture and carvings; the Gwalior and the Orchha Forts, the Chhattris and the Raisengarh Fort, the rock cut caves at Pandav caves and the Bhojpur Shiv Temple. Madhya Pradesh is also the home to historic cities of Indore, Gwalior and Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh is also known for the wonderful tribal cultures and the tribal museums that have been established by the government in different parts of the state.
